Kings CXTT

The CXTT is an early cyclocross season training activity designed to get folks used to riding their bikes on the grass – again. These are low key, high value events and serve to get yours legs in shape for the racing to come.

What is a Cyclocross Time Trial?
A cyclocross time trial is a maximal effort against the clock for cyclocross. The design is to get your body and bike back on the grass and used to the efforts and skills required to compete in cyclocross – or to just use cyclocross to get in shape and have some fun!

Event Dates
Wednesdays starting in August through mid-September. Event dates will be:

August 17th – Trek Stores of Cincinnati

August 24th  – Team Hungry

August 31st – Team Dayton

September 7th – Velofix (Cincinnati)

September 14th – The Ritual Racing

September 21th – Element Cycles


Start Times & Race Duration:
5:30pm – Course is open for pre-riding

6:45pm – Riders sent out in random order – riders sent three at a time


A – Advanced – 3 laps of the designated course

B – Intermediate – 2 laps of the designated course

C – Beginners – 1 lap of the designated course

D – Hulk Smash! – 4 laps of the designated course

Location: Kingswood Park, 4188 Irwin-Simpson Road, Deerfield Township, OH 45040

Day-of-race registration: 4:45pm to 15 minutes prior to your start time.

To determine OVERALL POINTS winners for the Series, we are taking the BEST 4 OF 6 races. As this is a training series this ranking is for pure fun and bragging rights. But their will be random prizes along the way to be sure.

Race Plates:
All racers will receive a race plate upon initial registration. These are the only race plates that will be honored by our officials. Don’t lose it. Ever. no really….ever.

Points Breakdown:
Points are awarded to each category based on your percentage of the winner’s time in that category. To get an idea of how this works, take a look at the results below and how the points are calculated.

Important Notes:
– Helmets are mandatory!
– All riders MUST sign a liability release form and be a member of Cincinnati Cyclocross to race.
– Other people use the park to walk their dogs and other activities. We must ALWAYS remain aware of the activities of the other guests at Kings. (a few seconds lost to keep everyone safe is always the wise choice.)
