Sponsorship helps advance youth and female participation in growing sport and supports world-class event in Cincinnati community
CINCINNATI, Oct. 28, 2015 – This weekend, cyclists from around the tri-state region and across the country are descending on the Cincinnati area to compete in cyclo-cross races. For the second consecutive year, Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A. is powering the Cincinnati International Cyclo-Cross Festival.
Cyclo-cross is a form of bicycle racing that combines different terrains, obstacles and steep hills. The Cincinnati International Cyclo-Cross Festival from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 encompasses multiple events, including races for youth and teenage cyclists, which provide them access to the sport of competitive cycling, and the Pan-American Continental Championships, one of the largest cycling events in the United States. Races on Saturday take place at Kingswood Park in Deerfield Township, Ohio, and Sunday events will be held at Devou Park in Covington, Ky.
Couple of FAQ’s we’re getting right now on the Pan Am Champs: “I am a UCI rider and was wondering if we need to qualify to race Sunday?” For Sunday, if you have a UCI license issued from one of the 41 national federations of the Pan American Cycling Confederation – you qualify. Second question: “Are there UCI points available for the Pan Am event?” See image for points table. #PanAmCX #CincyCX
